New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels pack in lots of glucosamine and chondroitin (what we like to call the GCs), which keep our pet’s joints in tip-top condition. The GCs are naturally present in cartilage and ligaments, but they begin to break down with age, causing arthritis and limiting mobility.
The research stacks up too. Studies have shown that feeding New Zealand Green Lipped to arthritic dogs significantly improved their joint pain and swelling, as compared to a group of dogs without green mussels in their bowls.
